Stratis
A database where space and time are native dimensions, not columns bolted on.
Most databases treat where and when as metadata — two more columns, indexed if you’re lucky. Stratis starts from the opposite premise: that for a growing class of problems, space and time are the primary keys of reality, and the storage engine should know it.
I’m CPO and co-founder. My job is to keep the product honest to that premise: to make the hard geospatial-temporal machinery feel obvious to the people who query it, and to make sure the questions our users actually have are the ones the system is shaped to answer.
